School Crossing Guard

There are currently 13 School Crossing Guards.

Crossing Guards are assigned to 19 school intersections. Depending on school times, they may be assigned to two crossing locations.

The pay rate for Crossing Guards is $7.00 per hour.

Crossing Guards receive 10 extra paid days per school year for days that school is not in session. This can be for holidays or teacher meetings.

Crossing Guards can receive bonuses. Guards who were employed during the previous year will receive a $100.00 return to work bonus. Crossing Guards can receive a wellness bonus if they are not absent during the school year. The $100.00 wellness bonus is paid at the end of the school year.

Crossing Guards receive two hours of travel time per week. Guards with two crossings receive four hours of travel time per week.

Crossing Guards work one-and-a-half hours in the morning and one-and-a-half hours in the afternoon.

Currently, all School Crossing Guard positions are filled.
